An Haiku Poem by Jenn

Spring Storm
In the middle of snow flakes,
one black crow huddles.
Maple buds cracked white.

Merci ! It's so nice to see my little poem on a web site, just sitting there for all to read. Basho is one of my favourite haiku poets. One of our Canadian poets, Roo Borson, wrote a book lst year (won the GG's, Canadian awards) called Short Journey Upriver toward Oishida, based on Basho's book - more of a prose journal with haiku included. Here's one:

All night possums on the roof
play leaping slideing games -
and now the rain.
Roo Borson

Notice you posted a poem or a song of your own below. Are you a poet? or a lover of poetry?

best,

Well, once again I'm sorry to disappoint you, but neither of the song lyrics are mine! I just posted some of the lyrics I really like or mean something to me. I've got a few more to post.

Thanks for the haiku.
